The Roots -

Ok, after checking out KRIVERA's Blog , the post with Tribe's video made me want to post a video fo my favorite hip-hop song of all time, The Roots "Seed (2.0)" But I can't!!! Universal, in a pathetic attempt to keep control fo their artists video, won't allow the video to be embeded! So I have to embed this video of a guy dancing to "Seed." Universal is clueless! Instead of promoting thier artist, now I'm promoting the guy dancing to their artist! WTF? I think this is a classic example of how giant media corporations don't know how to embrace the new media world and try and make it work for them. Oh, well. The guy dancing is pretty entertaining, and the song is great.

I'm kind of excited about this little photoshop. The guy as Vader is John C. Malone. He made his money when he was one of the heads of TCI cable wich was sold to ATT for 58 billion. He is currently the head of Liberty Media, which owns Starz and Encore movie channels,Home Shopping Network and QVC, Ticketmaster, Lending Tree, Citysearch, and others. He also owns more stock in News Corp (which owns FOX) than anyone without the last name Murdoch, and he currently owns nearly as much stock in Time Warner as Ted Turner. He has the nickname "Darth Vader" because of his relentless business tactics, and travels the country frequently in a relatively modest Winnebago. He is a huge player in the media market, but stays away from the spotlight. Pretty interesting guy. Anyway, I'm including a paper about him in the magazine for my DMED120 class. I'll post the finished article later.

Hillary Bush

Here's a candidate for the Blue Staters and The Red Staters! The perfect blend of Hillary Clinton and George Bush. It's spooky how much this looks like a real politician isn't it? Well if Hillary and George had a baby...(shudder)...this is what it would look like!
